Mouse dermal fibroblasts (Kyushu University)

The skin behind the ear of 10 week-old mice was removed, minced into small pieces, plated on gelatin-coated plates and cultured in a 1:1 mixture of MF-start medium and mouse embryonic fibroblast (MEF) medium, until the cells reached confluency.

MEF medium composition: Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM), supplemented with fetal bovine serum (FBS, 10%), L-glutamine (2 mM), and penicillin-streptomycin.
