Tau-GFP genetically modified tail-tip fibroblasts (TTF) were isolated from 3-day-old Tau-GFP knock-in pups.
The bottom third of the tail was minced and digested in trypsin (2.5 mg/ml) to create a single-cell suspension. Tail-tip fibroblasts were cultured in mouse embryonic fibroblast medium (MEF) comprised of Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM) containing fetal bovine serum (FBS, 10%), β-mercaptoethanol, non-essential amino acids, sodium pyruvate and penicillin/streptomycin.
