Chondrogenesis of stem cells using bone morphogenetic protein 7 and transforming growth factor 1

This single-step protocol enables the direct differentiation of embryonic stem cells into chondrogenic aggregates using bone morphogenetic protein 7 (BMP7) and transforming growth factor 1 (TGF1-beta). The cells express markers typical of chondrocytes and contain sulfated glycosaminoglycan.
