Generation of trophoblast cells from human embryonic stem cells by BMP4 induction

This protocol describes a method to produce trophoblast-like cells from human embryonic stem cells, using BMP4 as an inducing agent. The resulting cells express trophoblast-specific markers and secrete human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG).
