Derivation of pancreatic progenitor cells using the small molecule Indolactam V

Pancreatic progenitor cells are derived from definitive endoderm cells, using the small molecule, Indolactam V. These cells express insulin and various markers of endocrine/exocrine cells. In addition, upon transplantation of the cells under the kidney capsule, differentiation in-vivo can be observed.
