Schwann cell differentiation from dental pulp stem cells

This protocol describes a method for generation of Schwann-like cells from human dental pulp stem cells. The differentiated cells express neuronal markers, secrete neurotrophic factors and promote ensheathment and myelination of neurons in a 3D-culture system.
