Ectopic endometrium-Endometriosis patients vs. Endometrium-Normal controls

Microarray gene expression profiling of endometrium tissue of endometriosis patients. Eutopic (n=9) and ectopic (n=7) endometrial tissues were both collected from women affected by endometriosis and compared to eutopic endometrial tissues (n=6), collected from healthy women in the proliferative phase of the menstrual cycle. 
The patients in this study were characterised by the presence of endometriotic glands confirmed histologically, excluding those who previously have had endometriosis surgery and women no longer menstruating.
