Monocytes from familial hypercholesterolemia patients vs. Monocytes from healthy controls

Monocytes from homozygous and heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) patients with documented genetic defects in the LDL receptor (LDLR, n=10), were compared to monocytes from healthy volunteers (n=13).  For microarray analysis, cells were isolated with RosetteSep Monocyte Enrichment Cocktail (Cell Systems, Germany) according to the manufacturer's protocol. All cell preparations had a purity of > 95%.
