Fetal Macrophages (ExBI)

Fetal macrophages are indented cells that contain an abundance of polyribosomes, extended microvilli or filopodia, and are negative for peroxidase activity. They are found in the vascular lumen and in the extravascular mesenchymal layer of the yolk sac.
