Conjunctival Goblet Cells (CnE)

Eye.CnE.CGCs
Conjunctival goblet cells secrete mucin, which generates the moisture that covers the surface of the eye and allows the eyelids to easily open and close. Loss of conjunctival goblet cells can lead to ocular surface disorders, such as dry eye, ocular cicatricial pemphigoid (OCP), and Sjögren's syndrome.
