Ganglion Precursor Cells (GCL)

Ganglion precursor cells are post-mitotic retinal precursor cells which express Math5, a basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor that provides the cell the competency to become retinal ganglion cells. These cells migrate from the neuroblastic layer to the ganglion cell layer.
