Periocular Mesenchymal Cells (PrcM)

Eye.PrcM.PrcMCs
Periocular mesenchymal cells are a subpopulation of the cranial neural crest, located near the developing retina and lens. Some of the periocular mesenchymal cells migrate into the region between the lens vesicle and the developing cornea epithelium and give rise to corneal endothelium and stromal keratocytes.
