Retinal Pigmented Epithelium Progenitor Cells (RPE)

Eye.RPE.RPEPCs
Retinal pigmented epithelium progenitor cells are compacted and cuboidal-shaped cells, organized in a single layer. These cells biosynthesize and store melanin in a lysosome-related organelle called a melanosome (brown appearance). In mice, melanin accumulation becomes visible around E11.
