Sinoatrial Node Cells (SAN)

Hrt.SAN.SNCs

Sinoatrial node cells have elongated nuclei, moderate amounts of myofibrils and an abundance of glycogen. These cells are smaller than working atrial myocytes, because they are spindle shaped and form parallelly-aligned bundles along the crista terminalis.
