Glomerular Endothelial Cells (Glm)

Kid.Glm.GlEnCs

Glomerular endothelial cells, like other endothelial cells, form the interface between the blood and tissue compartments, and function to regulate vasomotor tone, hemostasis, and leukocyte trafficking. Glomerular endothelial cells differ from most other endothelial cells in that they are extraordinarily flat and highly fenestrated, which enables formation of glomerular ultrafiltrate at a very rapid rate.
