Duct progenitor cells are the committed precursors of pancreatic duct cells that form duct and centroacinar cells following differentiation.


These cells are Neurog3 negative, which is permissive for ductal differentiation. Additionally, they express Hes1 and Sox9 which indicates ductal lineage commitment.
