Epiblast stem cell-derived oligodendrocyte progenitor cells for multiple sclerosis

This study aims to test the potential of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells, derived from epiblast stem cells, in treating multiple sclerosis. Oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs) were generated from mouse epiblast stem cells (EpiSC), and were injected into the corpus callosum of shiverer mouse pups. Mouse brains were analyzed 3-7 weeks post-injection, and contained multiple patches of MBP-positive myelin sheaths.
