Autologous bone marrow-derived hematopoietic stem cells for the treatment of multiple sclerosis
The aim of his study is to asses whether high-dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation can be a valid treatment for multiple sclerosis. The results of the study show complete suppression of relapses and of new MRI-detectable lesions in 23 evaluable patients, over a median follow-up time of 5 years.
