ReN001, human neural stem cells for the treatment of stroke
ReN001, a human neural stem cell line also called CTX0E03, was created by genetically modifying human somatic stem cells with a conditional immortalizing gene c-mycER(TAM). ReN001 has been shown to reverse the functional deficits associated with stroke, when administered several weeks after the stroke, in relevant pre-clinical models. It is being tested for its therapeutic value in treating cerebral infarction.
