Bone marrow-derived hematopoietic stem cells for retinopathy

The aim of this study is to determine whether there are any major safety and feasibility concerns associated with autologous transplantation of CD34+ stem cells as a therapy for irreversible vision loss resulting from retinal degenerative conditions (macular degeneration or retinitis pigmentosa) or retinal vascular disease (diabetic retinopathy or retinal vein occlusion).
