ICEF15, autologous myoblasts for fecal incontinence

ICEF15 is comprised of autologous myoblasts collected from the upper arm for the treatment of fecal incontinence. The patient’s ex vivo-expanded muscle cells are re-injected into the patient’s external anal sphincter muscle, using Innovacell’s proprietary injection device, leading to regeneration of the muscle´s full functionality. Treatment induced a rapid and sustained reduction in the symptoms of fecal incontinence, as well as an improvement in the quality of life.
