Bone marrow-derived mononuclear cells for chronic myocardial infarction
Bone marrow-derived mononuclear cells were transendocardially transplanted using the Helical Infusion System, a special catheter device, to treat chronic myocardial infarction patients. There were no adverse reactions to the treatment, the ejection fraction improved and there was an increase in survival compared to the untreated population.
