C-Cure®, mesenchymal stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes for heart failure

C-Cure® are bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells differentiated into cardiomyocytes before being re-injected into the heart. It is designed to produce new autologous heart muscle cells for treatment of heart failure patients. C-Cure® treatment was found to be safe and treated patients showed improvement of the left ventricular ejection fraction, ventricular volumes, measures of ventricular remodeling and in the six minute walking distance test.
