Early endothelial progenitor cells for acute myocardial infarction

The aim of this trial is to assess the safety and efficacy of cell and gene therapy in patients with moderate to large anterior myocardial infarction, who have undergone a re-vascularization procedure with stent implantation to the infarct-related artery. Early endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) or EPCs transfected with human endothelial nitric oxide synthase will be injected into the heart of patients.
