Human multipotent adipose-derived stem cells for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy

This study aims to determine the applicability of intramuscular injection of human multipotent adipose-derived stem cells (hMADS) to treat Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). hMADS were injected into the left tibialis anterior muscle of mdx mice, a mouse model for DMD. Muscle dystrophin expression was induced by treatment.
