MyoD transduced human multipotent adipose-derived stem cells for Duchenne muscular dystrophy

This study aims to determine the applicability of intramuscular injection of MyoD-transduced human multipotent adipose-derived stem cells (hMADS) to treat Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). hMADS, lentivirally transduced with MyoD, were injected into the center of the injured muscle of immunodeficient RAG2−/−γC−/− mice, and induced improved muscle repair compared to nontransduced cells.
