Neo-Urinary Conduit™, smooth muscle cell 3D culture for bladder diseases

Neo-Urinary Conduit™ is a physiologically functional tissue with a three-dimensional structure that diverts urine from the ureters to a removable, disposable bag, or ostomy bag, outside the body. This products serves as a replacement in patients undergoing bladder removal, i.e., patients with abdominal or pelvic cancer, or other severe bladder disease. The product is comprised of the patient's own smooth muscle cells, procured from the adipose tissue. Neo-Urinary Conduit™ avoids the risk of organ rejection and eliminates the burden and costs of immunosuppression and minimizes the invasiveness of the harvest procedure.
