Adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction and adipocytes (HiQCell) (Regeneus)

The stromal vascular fraction contains the cells that comprise the adipose tissue. This fraction contains high numbers of T regulatory cells, macrophages, endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells and mesenchymal stem cells. HiQCell is a mixture of the stromal vascular fraction with the adipocytes derived from the same tissue.

Lipoaspirate (200g) is digested with collagenase (0.5 mg/mL) and vancomycin (0.05 mg/mL), at 37°C for 30 min, with periodic mixing. The digested samples are passed through an 800 μm mesh and centrifuged at 1500 x g for 5 min, to obtain the pelleted cells (SVF) and floating adipocytes. Then they are washed with saline and centrifuged at 1500 x g for 5min.
