The synergetic cell population (low density cells) are isolated from blood and cultured under specific conditions to produce angiogenic cell precursors (ACPs).
Low density cells (Synergetic Cell Population) are isolated from the blood using density gradients. They are cultured at a density of 1.5–3.0x106 cells/ml in endothelial basal medium (EBM) or in “Medium I” composed of X-Vivo 15 serum-free medium supplemented with autologous human serum (10%), VEGF (1–10 ng/ml) and heparin (5 IU/ml).
