Bone marrow-derived mononuclear cells (FFIS)

60 ml of autologous bone marrow was harvested, under sedation with propofol (0.5 mg/kg) and fentanyl (50–100µg), by multiple aspirations from the posterior iliac crest. A ficoll density gradient separation was performed to isolate the mononuclear fraction.
