Hair follicle-derived fibroblasts (RepliCel Tendon-01) (RepliCel Life Sciences Inc.)

Fibroblasts isolated from the hair follicle dermal sheath, known as the non-bulbar dermal sheath (NBDS). NBDS cells are an abundant cell source for production of Type 1 collagen, the major structural protein of tendon. 


NBDS are harvested from hair follicles collected by micro-biopsies of the back of a patient’s scalp.
