This human embryonic stem cell line was derived from the isolated inner cell mass of human blastocysts. The cells are express pluripotent markers and can form embryoid bodies which contain cells of all the three germ layers. Karyotype: 46,XX.

Cells are cultured on fibroblast feeder cells in medium consisting of knockout-DMEM  supplemented with  knockout serum replacement (20%), GlutaMax (2 mM),  MEM Eagle Non-Essential Amino acid solution (1%),  penicillin/streptomycin
(0.5%),  ß-mercaptoethanol (0.1 mM), and  basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF; 8 ng/ml).
