EMBRYONIC DEVELOPMENT & STEM CELL COMPENDIUM

Neural stem cells - Mouse Fetal Stem / Progenitor Cell

Lewis X-positive cells (LeX+) were isolated by immunomagnetic selection of cells from the spinal cords of E10.5 mice and expanded in vitro.

Spinal Cord
Grow LeX cells in Neurobasal medium (Invitrogen), containing B-27, N2, epidermal growth factor (20 ng/ml), fibroblast growth factor (FGF; 20 ng/ml), penicillin (100 U) and streptomycin (100g/ml). Grow cells as an adherent monolayer, and passage cultures every 5–7 d. Cells used for antigen selection should be passaged three to five times.
