Stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (University Hospital Regensburg)

Stem cells from exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED) are isolated from pulp tissue of 7- to 8- year-old children. Cells express dental pulp stem cell markers, and have the capacity to differentiate into odontoblast-like cells in-vitro.

Cells are cultured in DMEM supplemented with fetal calf serum (10%) and penicillin/streptomycin.
