Cardiomyocyte differentiation from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells

Human mesenchymal stem cells were derived from coronary artery disease patients, and induced to differentiate into cardiomyocyte-like cells by culturing them with specific growth factors. Differentiated cells expressed cardiomyocyte markers and were transplanted into a mouse model of myocardial infarction.
