Differentiation of white and brown adipocytes from adipose-derived stem cells

A 3 steps differentiation protocol for the generation of white adipose tissue (WAT) and subsequently, brown adipose tissue (BAT) from human multipotent adipose-derived stem cells (hMADS) by exposure to PPARγ agonist (rosiglitazone). The cell's final phenotype depends only on the duration of the exposure to the agonist (6 days for WAT and 17 days for BAT).
