Generation of corneal keratocytes from human embryonic stem cells
This protocol describes a method for generation of corneal keratocytes by co-culture with PA6 feeder cells and generation of neural crest-like intermediate cells. Nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR)-positive cells are then isolated from the neural crest-like cells, using magnetic-activated cell sorting (MACS), and are further expanded as monolayers and differentiated into keratocyte-like cells.
