Generation of keratinocytes from stem cells using an autogeneic co-culture system

This three-step protocol describes a method for generation of keratinocytes from human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) by co-culturing them with hESC-derived fibroblast-like cells in the presence of activin. This system enables animal-free generation of keratinocytes.
