Differentiation of human cardiomyocyte progenitor cells into functional mature cardiomyocytes

This 2-step protocol allows for the generation of functional mature cardiomyocytes from human cardiomyocyte progenitor cells (CMPCs), using 5-azacytidine, ascorbic acid and TGF-β. Differentiated cells contract spontaneously and respond to adrenergic stimulation.
