Generation of cardiomyocytes from stem cells, by p38MAPK inhibition

This protocol describes the generation of cardiomyocyte-like cells from human embryonic stem cells treated with the SB203580 p38MAPK inhibitor, in suspension. In the final step, cardiomyocytes are enriched by Percoll-gradient and are transplantated into a myocardial infarction animal model, to test their functionality.
