Small molecules facilitate the reprogramming of mouse fibroblasts into pancreatic lineages
This is a 4-step protocol for the generation of pancreatic progenitor-like cells from doxycycline-inducible mouse embryonic fibroblasts (Dox-inducible MEFs) using small molecules. These cells can further differentiate into cells of all three pancreatic lineages, including functional, insulin-secreting beta-like cells that ameliorate hyperglycemia in mice.
