Generation of skeletal myoblasts from human embryonic stem cells

This protocol describes a method for generation of skeletal myocytes from human embryonic stem cells, via the formation and isolation of CD73+ mesenchymal precursor cells. These precursor cells are then expanded, followed by isolation of NCAM+ myoblast-like cells. These myoblasts can be further differentiated into skeletal myocytes and myotubes in-vitro.
