Microarray analysis of peripheral blood cells from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) patients

Microarray gene expression profiling of  peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of HIV-1-infected patients. PBMC specimens were obtained from three groups of young adult mothers with infants: uninfected healthy mothers (n=20),  HIV-1-positive transmitter mothers (n=11) and HIV-1-positive nontransmitter mothers (n=14). This microarray experiment compared PBMCs of all HIV-1-positive samples (transmittter and nontransmitter mothers) with the control samples from healthy mothers.
