Microarray analysis of peripheral whole blood from malaria-infected patients

Microarray gene expression profiling of whole blood obtained from malaria-infected patients. Samples from a total of 94 malaria-infected children (median age 3.7 years) in the symptomatic phase of blood-stage Plasmodium falciparum infection were analyzed and compared to samples collected from 61 age-matched control subjects.
