Microarray analysis of colon tissues from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis patients

In this microarray analysis, colon tissue samples from Crohn's disease (CD) (n=7) and ulcerative colitis (UC) (n=5) patients were compared to control colon samples (n=4).

All samples were taken by endoscopic pinch biopsy of several regions of the colon. The samples were classified as CD, UC or healthy on the basis of primary endoscopic, pathological, and radiological assessments, using standard diagnostic criteria.

Unaffected regions from colon tissues of CD and UC patients are also available, but were not included in LifeMap analysis.
