Each large scale dataset sample card provides details on a single sample within the dataset. The card contains a list of genes that were identified as expressed/differentially expressed in the sample. This list is either supplied by the original database, or was identified using an analysis algorithm developed by the LifeMap bioinformatics team.

The title line of includes the large scale data set sample icon, title and the species icon.

Prenatal/Postnatal	The stage(s) at which the experimental samples were extracted (prenatal/postnatal/both).
Analyzed by	Author: Indicates when the list of differentially expressed genes was derived from the original database. LifeMap: Indicates when the list of differentially expressed genes was identified using an analysis algorithm developed by the LifeMap bioinformatics team.
Method	The specific high throughput method (microarray, RNA sequencing or expressed sequence tag [EST] analysis) used to determine gene expression.
Related card	The LifeMap Discovery organ/tissue/compartment/cell card(s) linked to the sample. Clicking on the card name will divert you to the card.
Parent experiment panel	This panel provides a synopsis of the large scale parent dataset of which the sample is part of, including the dataset title, the total number of samples in the dataset, and a brief description of the experiment.
