Nasal respiratory epithelium-Allergic rhinitis patients vs. Nasal respiratory epithelium-Healthy controls

Microarray gene expression profiling of nasal epithelial cells obtained from allergic rhinitis patients. Nasal epithelial cells collected by brushing from dust mite allergic rhinitis patients (n=14) and compared to cells collected from age matched healthy control (n=11). Patients were aged 6–17 yrs. Infections by respiratory viruses were excluded by real-time PCR measurements.
This microarray experiment contains additional samples from allergic rhinitis patients associated with asthma, which were not included in this analysis.
