Mononucleated Osteoclasts (BM)

Mononucleated osteoclasts are derived from the osteoclast precursor cells and are characterized by the expression of Nfatc1, a key transcription factor. Nfatc1 induces Dcstamp signaling, which is responsible for cell fusion and for formation of multinucleated osteoclasts.
