Mesenchymal Cells (Ep)

Once the epicardium fully envelopes the myocardium, a subset of cells delaminates from the epicardium into the subepicardial space. This space is largely populated by substantial population of mesenchymal cells particularly at the atrioventricular junction and over the prospective ventricles.
