Mature Cardiac Fibroblasts (Mcrdm)

Cardiac fibroblasts are found alongside cardiomyocytes throughout cardiac tissue, accounting for up to two-thirds of the cells in the adult heart. Adult cardiac fibroblasts induce more cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and less proliferation than embryonic cardiac fibroblasts (hyperplasia).
